All School Picnic

May 23, 2022

During your child’s regular scheduled lunch time:
Kindergarten 11:00-11:30
1st Grade 11:15-11:45
2nd Grade 11:30-12:00
3rd Grade 11:45-12:15
4th Grade 12:05-12:35
5th Grade 12:25-12:55
All Pyrtle families are invited to have lunch with their children on May 23 , 2022 . This is a tradition we are happy to bring back with a few tweaks.
* We will meet on the front lawn of the school at your child’s regular lunch time. Grades K, 2, and 4 will eat on the lawn to the south of Door 1 and grades 1, 3, and 5 will eat on the lawn to the north side of Door 1. There will be cones with signs directing you where to go.
* We will not be checking in every guest outside unless they have to enter the building. Please wait outside for your children to come out with their class. We ask that you try to avoid going into the building if possible.
* If you order a school lunch for your child, it will be provided for them that day at Door #1. Order forms were sent home in Thursday folders. The deadline to order a school lunch is tomorrow , May 6 th .
* You may bring outside food for your children. In the past, this was sometimes challenging as so many adults are in drive throughs around Pyrtle at the same time, so please plan accordingly.
* Please plan ahead so that you have enough time to park your car. There will be more cars parked than usual during this time.
* Adults must provide their own food. School lunch on this day will only be for students who pre-ordered it.
* You are not able to bring food for children other than your own. Please do not share food with other children due to food allergies.
* It is encouraged to bring blankets to sit on the ground during the picnic.
* You may eat as a family. If you have 2 children eating at the same time, please instruct your oldest child(ren) to meet you at your youngest child’s designated area. Please follow this expectation so that we will know where to find all of the children. Your oldest child needs to tell their teacher where they are going to eat.
* We ask that everyone remain seated and in their assigned area during the picnic to help make this an orderly, safe and fun event for everyone.
* There will be no rain date for the picnic, but we will make other arrangements to hold the picnic indoors that day if needed due to weather.
If you have any questions, please call the school office. Thank you!
